Pandemic thriller film Songbird, produced by Michael Bay, will star KJ Apa and Sofia Carson in the lead. It started rolling last week, making this one of the first films to go into production after the lockdown in Los Angeles.

Adam Goodman and Andrew Sugerman's Invisible Narratives, and Catchlight Studios are also attached to the production.

Helmed by Adam Mason, the film is set in the aftermath of the pandemic lockdown and will follow the love story of a motorbike courier named Nico (Apa) and an artist calling Sara (Carson).

Some of the other cast members include Demi Moore, Jenna Ortega and Paul Walter Hauser. 

KJ Apa is popular for his role as Archie Andrews in the Netflix series Riverdale, which is now in its fifth season. Sofia Carson, on the other hand, is widely known for her role as Evie in Disney's Descendants and is also popular for starring in Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists.
