Critics might have not liked Murder Mystery, starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, but it looks like the film turned out to be the most popular title among Netflix subscribers in 2019. The streaming giant released the list of the most popular content on the OTT platform, and Murder Mystery came out on top. 

Despite competing with heavyweights like Stranger Things 3 (which is in the second position in the list), The Witcher, The Irishman, and The Incredibles 2, the comedy-drama turned out to be the topper of Netflix's 2019 roster.

Directed by Kyle Newacheck, the whodunit film is about a married couple, who go on a vacation only to end up becoming the prime suspects of a billionaire’s murder on a yacht. Apart from solving the crime and proving their innocence, the couple also has to save their failing marriage. The film predominantly received negative reviews and it was panned for being unfunny.
