Netflix India has unveiled the trailer for Yeh Ballet, an upcoming dance film inspired by the journey of two Mumbai boys who overcame their circumstances to enroll in prestigious ballet schools.

The film is directed by Sooni Taraporevala, who previously directed a short VR documentary on the subject.

In Yeh Ballet, newcomers Manish Chauhan and Achintya Bose play the two boys — dance show winner Nishu and his rebellious friend Asif. Manish is one of the two real-life dancers who inspired Sooni.

Yeh Ballet is inspired by the real story of two young boys who were determined and dreamt big. It's such an awesome and almost unbelievable story that it makes you believe in working with passion towards your goals. I discovered the boys a few years ago, when my son was working with Anand Gandhi and I was asked if I'd like to direct a VR documentary,” the filmmaker said in a statement.

Yeh Ballet also stars Julian Sands, Jim Sarbh, Vijay Maurya, Danish Husain, and others. The music is composed by Ankur Tewari (Gully Boy). Produced by Roy Kapur Films, the film is scheduled for release on February 21 on Netflix.
