Veteran Kollywood actor Thalaivasal Vijay has nabbed a role in Akshay Kumar's upcoming film Bell Bottom. The Kadhalukku Mariyadhai joined the cast of Bell Bottom in Mumbai. The team then took off to the UK on a chartered flight on Thursday. The actor, who auditioned for his role in the film, is said to be playing a crucial role. 

The makers of Bell Bottom is said to have come up with adequate safety measures for the team, which is set commence shooting in Glasgow. The shooting set will have a doctor on stand-by and the cast and crew will undergo quarantine before the shoot. Interestingly, this is the second Hindi film of Vijay who made his Bollywood debut with last year's Junglee. 

Directed by Ranjit M Tewari, Bell Bottom is a retro spy film set in the 80s. The espionage thriller,  written by Aseem Arora and Pervez Shaikhand, also stars Huma Qureshi, Lara Dutta, Vaani Kapoor and Jackky Bhagnani.
