Kangana Ranaut reacts to Rangoli’s suspension: We should demolish Twitter

Kangana Ranaut has addressed her sister Rangoli Chandel’s recent suspension from Twitter. Earlier this week, Rangoli had tweeted about the stone-pelting incident in Moradabad, saying that “mullas + secular media” should be lined up and shot. Her tweet was flagged by celebrities like Farah Ali Khan and Reema Kagti for inciting religious hatred.

In an Instagram video, Kangana claimed that she and Rangoli have been falsely accused of calling for a genocide of Muslims. She argued that Rangoli’s tweet was limited to only those responsible for attacking doctors and police workers.

“If there’s one tweet that mentions Muslim genocide, then I and Rangoli will apologise,” Kangana says in the video. “Are they (Farah and Reema) suggesting that every Muslim is a terrorist? We don’t believe so.”

Kangana also appealed to the central government to ban Twitter for curtailing freedom of speech. “We have to find a way to completely demolish these platforms and start our own platforms,” she says, mentioning the online backlash faced by wrestler-turned-political Babita Phogat over her Tablighi Jamaat tweet.
