Kamal Haasan will not act in Marudhanayagam?

CE Features

Kamal Haasan frequently encounters questions about the future of the shelved project Marudhanayagam, which was announced back in 1997 in a grand event with Queen Elizabeth II as the special guest.

Later, the film was shelved due to budget constraints. Many attempts by Kamal Haasan to revive the project since drew a blank. Nevertheless, the questions about the future of the project keep following the actor.

According to reports, Kamal has recently said that he will not be part of the film as he is now concentrating on his political career. However, the actor-turned-politician assured that the film will materialise with someone else playing the lead role.

Kamal is currently busy shooting for Indian 2, his upcoming film with director Shankar. Recently, a still from the sets of that film was leaked online.
