Vijay's next, Bigil, is all set to release this Diwali, and the audio of the movie directed by Atlee was launched a couple of weeks back. Bigil is director Atlee's third film with Vijay after Theri and Mersal.

The trailer of Bigil was launched today and the 2 minutes and 42 seconds long featurette shows Vijay in dual roles as the rustic community leader and the energetic footballer. 
 

Bigil, arguably the most anticipated film of the year, is a sports drama, with the Sarkar-actor playing dual roles of a son, who is a football player-turned-coach, and a gangster father. 

Starring Nayanthara as the female lead, the film also features Indhuja, Varsha Bollamma, Amritha, and Reba Monica John as footballers, whose team will be coached by Vijay. Apart from them, Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Vivekh, and Yogi Babu are also part of the film, playing supporting characters.

The film is slated for a Diwali release.
