Bigil update: AGS Entertainment announces innovative promotional campaign for the Thalapathy Vijay-starrer

Named the Bigil Knockout, the tournament, scheduled to happen on October 19 and 20, will have 64 teams competing for the trophy

AGS Entertainment, the production house of Vijay's Bigil, has partnered with Chennai City Football Club to organize a football knockout tournament in Velachery, Chennai.

Named the Bigil Knockout, the tournament, scheduled to happen on October 19 and 20, will have 64 teams competing for the trophy. The matches will happen from 10 am to 4 pm on both the days at TIKI-TAKA Velachery.

The news was posted by Chennai City FC along with the details of the matches.

Aishwarya Kalpathi shared the tweet with the caption, "Come celebrate the game with us!

 

Bigil, arguably, the most anticipated film of the year, is said to be a sports drama, with the Sarkar-actor playing dual roles of a son, who is a football player-turned-coach, and a gangster father. 

Starring Nayanthara as the female lead, the film also features Indhuja, Varsha Bollamma, Amritha, and Reba Monica John as footballers, whose team will be coached by Vijay's character. Apart from them, Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Vivekh, and Yogi Babu are also part of the filmplaying supporting characters.

The film is slated for a Diwali release.
