Leading comedians of Tollywood — Vennela Kishore, Srinivas Reddy, Satyam Rajesh, Sapthagiri, Dhanraj, Venu, Praveen, and Tagubothu Ramesh — have launched a production house named Flying Colours with an aim to bankroll at least one film a year.

Their first production, titled Bhagyanagara Veedhullo Gammathu, will mark the debut of comedian Srinivas Reddy as the director. Apart from directing the film, Srinivas also plays the lead role, with Shakalaka Shankar and Satya in supporting roles.

“The reason behind taking up production is to be able to make films that don’t necessarily fall into the mainstream mould. Each one of us in the group is creative in our own way and we have a flair for script-writing and direction. So, we will make films to support each other,” reveals a comedian on condition of anonymity.

The shooting of the film, also featuring Brahmanandam in a crucial role, has been completed and the post-production is currently underway.
