Nagarjuna’s Manmadhudu 2 launched

Nagarjuna Akkineni's new film Manmadhudu 2, the second instalment of his 2002 blockbuster, Manmadhudu started rolling in Hyderabad today. 

The King actor's family members including his wife Amala, elder son Naga Chaitanya, actor Sumanth, and producer Naga Susheela, along with the film's female lead, Rakul Preet Singh, and director Rahul Ravindran were among those who graced the inaugural event held at Annapurna Studios. 

Touted to be a 'wholesome family entertainer with a dash of romance and comedy', the film's principal shooting will commence on Thursday in a specially constructed set in Annapurna Seven Acres.

"A seven-day schedule will begin this Thursday, followed by a little over 40-day schedule in Portugal in April. The team has conducted a look test for Rakul and Nag and the makers are excited to begin the proceedings," reveals a source.

Chaitan Bharadwaj, who made an impressive debut with RX 100 will be composing the music for the film that features Nagarjuna as a businessman in his late 40s and Rakul as a girl in her mid-20s. 

Also starring Payal Rajput, Manmadhudu 2 is being bankrolled jointly by Manam Enterprises and Anandi Art Creations.
