Megha Akash replaces Amala Paul in Vijay Sethupathi's upcoming romantic drama, VSP 33

CE Features

We had recently reported that Vijay Sethupathi and Amala Paul will be teaming up for the first time for an upcoming film, directed by debutant Venkata Krishna Roghanth, an erstwhile associate of director SP Jhananathan. Now, it's learnt that Amala Paul has opted out of the film citing date issues, and she has been replaced by Megha Akash.

The shoot of the film, which is temporarily being referred to as VSP 33, has already commenced in Ooty. Vijay Sethupathi will be sporting a 'freaky make-over' as a music composer, while Megha Akash will also be seen as a musician. The new-age drama, which will have a foreign actress playing a musician as well, will reportedly revolve around the rivalry and romance that blossoms between these three idiosyncratic characters, in a Christmas and New Year backdrop.

Magizh Thirumeni, who last helmed the critically-acclaimed Arun Vijay-starrer Thadam, will be playing an important role in the film.

Produced by Esakki Durai under his banner of Chandra Arts, VSP33 has music by Nivas Prasanna Krishnamoorthy, and cinematography by Mahesh Muthuswamy.
