The Thadam director will be seen in an important cameo-appearance in the romantic drama

We had recently reported that Vijay Sethupathi and Amala Paul will be teaming up for the first time for an upcoming film, directed by debutant Venkata Krishna Roghanth, an erstwhile associate of director SP Jhananathan.

Now, it has been announced that director Magizh Thirumeni, who last helmed the critically-acclaimed Arun Vijay-starrer Thadam, will be playing an important role in the film, which is temporarily being referred to as VSP 33. The actor had earlier dubbed for Anurag Kashyap in the latter's Tamil debut, Imaikka Nodigal, co-starring Nayanthara and Atharvaa.

Vijay Sethupathi will apparently be sporting a 'freaky make-over' as a music composer in the film, while Amala Paul will also be seen as a musician. The new-age drama, which will also have a foreign actress as a musician, will reportedly revolve around the rivalry and romance that blossoms between these three idiosyncratic characters.

Produced by Esakki Durai under his banner of Chandra Arts, VSP 33, which has music by Nivas Prasanna Krishnamoorthy, and cinematography by Mahesh Muthuswamy, is currently in its first schedule of shoot in Ooty.
