Sharwanand met with an accident while learning skydiving in Bangkok for the introduction song in his upcoming 96 Telugu remake, tentatively Alias Jaan. The actor, who dislocated his shoulder while landing, underwent surgery today.

He also suffered a minor fracture on his foot and was shifted to Hyderabad for treatment. “Sharwanand will stay in the hospital for four days and is expected to return home for complete rest during the weekend. He is doing good and will resume the shoot mid-July,” informs a source.

The remake is helmed by C Prem Kumar, who also directed the original, and it features Samantha Akkineni as the female lead. The film is in the last leg of production, with about 10 days of shooting left.

Sharwanand also has Ranarangam, a period gangster drama directed by Sudheer Varma, scheduled for release on August 2.

It can be noted that actors Varun Tej, Naga Shaurya, and Sundeep Kishan also recently faced minor injuries while shooting for their respective films.
