We had recently reported that Telugu actor Sharwanand will be collaborating with producer SR Prabhu for a big-budget Tamil - Telugu bilingual, to be produced under his Dream Warrior Pictures banner. A debutant director was said to be helming this project. Now, we hear from a source close to the production unit that short-film director Shree Karthik, known for his award-winning shorts like Vyugam and Childhood Diaries, will be making his feature film debut with this project. The source adds that talks are in its final stage, and an official announcement from the makers can be expected soon.

Sharwanand, who is currently shooting for two Telugu films - Sharwa 27, co-starring Kajal Aggarwal and Kalyani Priyadarshan, and the 96 remake, alongside Samantha, had previously starred in Tamil films like M Saravannan's Engeyum Eppothum, and Cheran's JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai. Producer SR Prabhu, meanwhile, has several projects like Andrea Jeremiah-starrer Vattam, Jyotika-starrer Ratchasi, directed by debutant S Raj, and Karthi-starrer Kaithi, in different stages of production.
