Madhavan, who is currently shooting his directorial debut, Rocketry - The Nambi Effect -- a biopic on ISRO scientist, Nambi Narayanan -- has taken to Twitter to share a couple of photos from the sets, where he is seen with the film's female lead, Simran. "15 years later Thiru and Indira turn into Mr and Mrs Nambi Narayanan," he captioned them, referring to their character names in Mani Ratnam's 2002 film, Kannathil Muthamittal. The two actors had also shared screen-space in K Balachander's Parthale Paravasam.

Produced by Tricolour Films in association with Vijay Moolan Talkies and Saffron Ganesha Entertainment, the film also stars Rajeev Ravindranathan. Rocketry will be getting a release in three languages -- Tamil, English, and Hindi -- by the end of this year.

Nambi Narayanan is a former senior ISRO official, who was wrongly accused of espionage and arrested in 1994 for allegedly selling India’s trade secrets to Pakistan. The CBI dropped charges against him in 1996, and the Supreme Court declared him not guilty in 1998.
