We had earlier reported that Anupama Parameshwaran will be playing the female lead in the Tamil remake of Ninnu Kori. Starring Atharvaa as the male protagonist and directed by R Kannan, the project went on floors today in Chennai.

The team plans to shoot continuously in the city for 15 days, after which they will go abroad to film a major portion. Atharvaa and Anupama will be reprising the characters played by Nani and Nivetha Thomas, respectively, in the original.

This yet-to-be-titled project marks the second collaboration of Kannan and Atharavaa after Boomerang. Produced by Kannan's Masala Pix in association with MKRP Productions, the film has dialogues by Kabilan Vairamuthu.

Apart from this, Kannan is simultaneously working on a film starring Santhanam in the lead.
