Jagathy Sreekumar to return to acting soon

CE Features

Jagathy Sreekumar is all set to return to acting after seven years with an ad film this year followed by a feature film next year. The announcement was made at a press meet in Kochi.

The veteran actor had bid adieu to films after a debilitating accident in 2012. Though he hasn’t yet regained his ability to speak, there is a significant improvement in Jagathy’s condition, said his son Rajkumar.

The advertisment will be produced under the banner of the newly formed Jagathy Sreekumar Entertainments. Rajkumar said the comeback has been approved by doctors, adding that Jagathy’s involvement in these projects, coupled with his interaction with friends and relatives, might improve his condition further and pave the way for a full recovery. He added that Jagathy’s role in the short film has been conceived keeping his physical limitations in mind.

Rajkumar, along with sister Parvathi, will be appearing with their father in the ad. The details of the full-length feature film are expected to be announced soon by the production company that closed the deal.
