Nandamuri Balakrishna's new film, NBK 106, which marks his third collaboration with director Boyapati Sreenu, has been put on hold indefinitely, say sources. The film's producer Miryala Ravinder Reddy has pulled the plug on the production for the film which was set to go on floors after Sankranthi.

It is learnt that the producer and the actor-director duo were divided over budget and remuneration aspects after the latter's last films failed to do well at the box office. "Following the dismal performance of Balakrishna's Ruler, Ravinder Reddy is in no mood to spend lavishly on NBK 106. That's not all, the producer has also asked the actor-director duo to take a pay cut and offered a profit-sharing deal to reduce the making costs. The duo was caught off guard by Ravinder's decision as the film was about to commence its principal shooting soon," reveals a source.

The delay comes as yet another setback for Balakrishna, who has been struggling to revive his fortunes at the ticket window after a hat-trick of duds.
