CE Features

Dhananjay became a well-known face in Kannada by playing Daali in Taguru. The character became so famous that the actor's next with director Prabhu Srinivas will be a spin-off based on it, titled Daali

"What if Tagaru's villain Daali, undergoes a change of mind and becomes a hero? That's the core of our film and we've decided to set the film in Lucknow,” says director Prabhu Srinivas, who will start shooting for the film on December 23.

The shooting is scheduled to go on for 25 days in Lucknow. The remaining portions will be shot entirely in Bengaluru.

Daali has Rachita Ram sharing screen space with Dhananjay for the first time and debutant Bhavya Trika will be playing the other female lead. The latter is a Chennai-based model who has been part of around 200 commercials in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

The film will have music by Anoop Seelin and lyrics by Jayant Kaikini and Nagendra Prasad. Srinivas Devamasam, an erstwhile assistant of PC Sriram, has been roped in to handle the cinematography of Daali
