Thalaimai Seyalagam Teaser: Vasanthabalan's political series asks what constitutes justice

We had reported back in 2022 that director Vasanthabalan would be making his OTT debut with a web series titled Thalaimai Seyalagam. The makers have now released the first look and teaser of the political series. Starring Kishore in the lead role, Thalaimai Seyalagam is set to release on OTT platform Zee 5 on May 17.

Apart from Kishore, the ensemble cast also features Sriya Reddy, Bharath, Ramya Nambessan, Aditya Menon and Kani Kusruti. Niroop Nandakumar, Darsha Gupta, Sarah Black, Siddharth Vipin, YGM, Santhana Bharathi and Kavitha Bharathi are also part of the cast.

Clad in a crisp white shirt and a Dhoti, the first look poster has Kishore reading a newspaper which has a headline of his arrest. It also says that he has been accused of corruption and asks if the union government is responsible for this.

The teaser opens with a protest in the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly. Kishore, who plays the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, looks into the camera and asks the meaning of justice. We then see a series of injustice unfolding on screen. There are glimpses of actors who are part of the cast and their roles. Y.G. Mahendran plays a lawyer, Bharath plays a rebel and Santhana Bharathi plays an political leader.

Thalaimai Seyalagam is produced by Radikaa Sarathkumar and R Sarathkumar under their Radaan Mediaworks India Limited. The series has cinematography by Wide angle Ravishankar, music by Ghibran and editing by Ravikumar M.
