Trisha’s next film, 96, co-starring Vijay Sethupathi and directed by Prem Kumar, will hit the screens this Thursday. Even as the pre-release buzz around the project is making all the right noises, the actor is all set to achieve an important milestone in her career. A self-proclaimed ‘die-hard’ fan of the Superstar, Trisha will be working with Rajinikanth for the first time in Petta. She will be joining the sets of the Karthik Subbaraj-directorial tomorrow in Varanasi.

Petta also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Simran and Bobby Simha in important roles. Incidentally, this will be the second film starring both Trisha and Simran after Jodi (1999), which marked the former’s onscreen debut in a small role.
