Jacqueline Fernandez to play the lead in Kirik Party Hindi remake

Kartik Aaryan and Jacqueline Fernandez will be starring in the Hindi remake of the Kannada smash hit, Kirik Party. The yet-to-be titled film will be produced by Ajay Kapoor of Kyta Productions and directed by Abhishek Jain.

Jain, known for directing popular Gujarati films such as Wrong Side Raju and Bey Yaar, will be making his Bollywood debut with this film. Released in 2016, Kirik Party, directed by Rishab Shetty, is a campus romantic-comedy starring Rakshit Shetty and Rashmika Mandanna. The film was remade in Telugu as Kirrak Party starring Nikhil Siddharth and Simran Pareenja.

Jacqueline Fernandez was last seen in the Salman Khan-starrer film, Race 3. Earlier this year, Kartik Aaryan delivered the surprise hit, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. His role in the the Kirik Party remake was earlier offered to Sidharth Malhotra
