Madhavan took to social media to announce his next venture, Rocketry - The Nambi effect, a film on scientist and aerospace engineer Nambi Narayanan. Directed by Ananth Mahadevan, the biopic will be released in English, Tamil and Hindi. 

In a video message, Madhavan said, "There are certain stories, which if you haven't heard, it is equivalent to not caring enough about your country. This is one such story, about Nambi Narayanan. When you hear this man's story, and see his achievements, I promise you will never be able to stay silent." 

The teaser of the film will be released on October 31. 

Nambi Narayanan was a scientist in charge of the cryogenics division in ISRO, who was arrested for espionage in 1994. He was acquitted of all charges by the Supreme Court earlier this year.
