Dhanush confirms VIP 3

The actor has expressed interest to do part 3 of the VIP franchise

Dhanush, who's busy promoting his Hollywood debut, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir at Cannes, has confirmed in an interview that he will return to direction after wrapping up Maari 2. This has led to speculations that he may be referring to the period drama, for which the pre-production work is currently on. If everything goes as planned, the shoot is said to begin from August. Rumours are abuzz that Nagarjuna will be a part of this film.

Furthermore, Dhanush added he'll collaborate with Raanjhanaa director Aanand L Rai once again, besides expressing interest to do part 3 of the VIP franchise. "VIP 2 wasn't a huge hit compared to part 1, but we were happy with the success. VIP 3 will happen eventually," he said. The actor also has a Karthik Subbaraj film in his kitty, besides Vada Chennai and Enai Nokki Paayum Thota.
