Tollywood writer-director Rajasimha Tadinada allegedly attempted suicide by consuming sleeping pills in a hotel room in Mumbai yesterday. He was rushed to a private hospital for treatment and according to sources, is out of danger with his condition is said to be stable.

Rajasimha, who hails from Nalgonda,began his career as a writer with Preminchukundam Raa (1996) and worked as an assistant director to Jayanth C Paranji for many films beginning from Bavagaru Bagunnaru (1998) to Takkari Donga (2002). After that, he served as an associate writer to Paruchuri Brothers from Manasantha Nuvve (2001) to Shankar Dada MBBS (2004) before venturing into direction with the Sundeep Kishan-starrer Okka Ammayi Tappa (2012), which is allegedly inspired by the Hollywood film, Phone Booth (2002). His claim to fame is being the writer of the Telangana dialogues for Allu Arjun's Gona Ganna Reddy character in the historical fiction Rudhramadevi (2015). Recently, he forayed into Kannada cinema as a writer and provided the story for a psychological thriller Buckaasuura (2018).
