The shooting of Suseenthiran's next titled Champion, which is based on football, started recently. Roshan of Aadhalal Kaadhal Seiveer fame will play the lead's younger version in the film. Also, dubsmash girl Mirnalini Ravi will play the female lead. A source says she was finalised even without any audition as Suseenthiran felt she was apt for the role. On the other hand, Mirnalini also has Super Deluxe, besides Nagal in the pipeline.

While Arrol Corelli of Pasanga 2 fame is composing the music, Sujith Sarang is handling the cinematography. Meanwhile, Suseenthiran, is done shooting two other films, Angelina and Genius.

Champion will have Anjathe Naren, GK Reddy and Jayaprakash in important roles.
