Director Sundar C was last seen as an actor in 2016's Muthina Kathirika. He has since produced his first film, Meesaya Murukku, starring Hip Hop Tamizha Aadhi, followed by his return to direction with Kalakalappu 2, a sequel to the 2012 comedy hit. And now, it looks like he's ready to return to acting. The director-turned-actor will be seen in a lead role in a film directed by VZ Durai. 

According to a source, the Yemaali director will be making a "realistic horror film without ghosts." E Krishnasamy, popularly known as Kicha, is expected to be the cinematographer, while Sudarshan will be the editor. Art director Muthu, who is worked on Mani Ratnam's Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, will take up the same role in this yet-to-be-titled film. VTV Ganesh will produce and star in the film, which will also feature Yogi Babu in a prominent role. Shooting is expected to begin from July 15.
