Actor Nani took a trip down memory lane as he shared the first look poster of his upcoming film Devadas, also starring Nagarjuna as the other lead. The MCA actor, who plays Das, a doctor in the film, recalled how he stood in the queue to buy a ticket outside Devi theatre, for Nagarjuna’s 1996 blockbuster Ninne Pelladatha and termed it a 'thrilling experience' to share the screen with the Manmadhudu actor.

Directed by Sriram Adittya, the film shows Nagarjuna as Deva, a mafia don. The film’s shoot is nearing completion and producer Ashwini Dutt Chalasani is planning to release it on September 27. “Except for the climax sequences, the entire film is wrapped up,” reads a statement from the makers.

Also featuring Aakanksha Singh and Rashmika Mandanna as the female leads, Devadas has music by Mani Sharma. It is to be noted that the film’s title is inspired by Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s 1953 classic Devadas.
