The black comedy Moodar Koodam made heads turn for its fresh treatment upon release in 2013. According to sources, Naveen, who helmed, produced and acted in the film, is now making a sequel to it with the same team. 

Despite carrying the title Moodar Koodam 2, the film apparently won't be a direct sequel and will instead have a fresh story with the essence of the original. 

The film is currently in its post-production phase and is touted to be a gangster black comedy. The makers are yet to make an official announcement about the release date of the film.
