Sai Dharam Tej, who is currently shooting for Jawaan, has signed up for yet another action comedy, which is being directed by Maruthi, say reports. According to a source, the film has been titled Mahanagaramlo Mayagadu, the title of Chiranjeevi’s yesteryear hit directed by Vijaya Bapineedu.

“Maruthi has penned an entertaining script for Tej and he is planning to meet the actor in August for a detailed narration. The team felt that Mahanagaramlo Mayagadu would be an appropriate title and suits Tej well. The discussions about other aspects are in nascent stages,” informs the source.

The film is expected to go on floors early next year soon after Sai Dharam Tej wraps up his new films — Durga with director VV Vinayak and an untitled romedy directed by Karunakaran. Geetha Arts is likely to bankroll the project. Meanwhile, Tej’s next release Nakshatram is slated to release on August 4. Directed by Krishna Vamsi, the film shows the actor in a cop avatar.
