Filmmaker Maruthi, who is riding high on the success of Mahanubhavudu, extended his support to a small film titled Ego. Directed by Subrahmanyam RV aka Subbu, the film is a love story set against the village backdrop and features Aashish Raj and Simran Sharma in the lead. Maruthi unveiled the film’s teaser on Tuesday and was all praise for the director. “Subbu is a passionate director and the film’s teaser reflects his love for the craft. Even though Aashish is not a native of Andhra, he acted like a conventional Telugu boy. Simran, too, has shown a lot of ease. I’m sure the producers have a winner in hand,” said Maruthi.

Meanwhile, the film's director Subbu said, “I struggled for two years to bag this opportunity and I want to thank my producers for their faith in my directorial abilities.”

Sai Kartheek has scored music for the film produced by Vishal Karan, Kaushal Karan and Anil Karan under VKA films.
