Nikhil Kumar has been quite the busy bee these days. The actor, who is currently shooting for Kurukshetra, has already started working on his next project with director Mahesh Rao. The yet-to-be-titled project has a fresh script. It will go on floors in October and the makers have revealed the first look of the actor in the film.

Nikhil will be seen in a big-budget family drama in Mahesh Rao’s next made under Channambika Productions. “Politician and producer, Kumaraswamy wishes to see his actor son Nikhil essaying characters in family dramas such as Suryavamsha, Chandra Chakori and Telugu films such as Sarainaodu, Legend, and  Jai Janaki Nayaka. The storyline for this movie was developed keeping this in mind,” says our source.

With the script locked in, the makers are now looking for the cast. Apparently Ria Nalvade, who was supposed to debut in Nikhil’s film is now not part of the project, as the makers feel she doesn’t fit the bill. “It is a heavy subject and Ria is too fresh to play that role. So the production house is looking for a suitable heroine,” our source says.
