System (Prime Video, May 22)

The Sonakshi Sinha-Jyotika starrer OTT movie will have its premiere this Friday. Directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, the film promises to tell the story of a determined young lawyer Neha (Sonakshi) who takes on a challenge of winning 10 cases from her father (Ashutosh Gowariker) to be worthy of a partnership in his law firm. Jyotika plays Sarika, a street-smart steno who is recruited by Neha to fulfil her goal but has own ulterior motives in the cases.  What follows is a fast-moving glimpse into intense courtroom battles, and messy relationships, carrying a pertinent question at its core — In a system bowed towards power, can justice prevail?

System is produced under the banner of Baweja Studios by Pammi Baweja, Harman Baweja, and Smitha Baliga, the film has been written by Harman, Arun Sukumar, Ashwiny, Tasneem Lokhandwala, and Akshat Ghildial.

Desi Bling (Netflix, May 20)

Set in one of Dubai’s most elite desi social circles, the reality shows follows Karan and Tejasswi as they step into a dazzling world of billionaires, brunches, Birkin bags, and bigger egos — where fitting in is far more complicated than it looks. Karan and Tejasswi will be seen navigating this high-stakes ecosystem as the line between glamour and chaos quickly begins to blur. Desi Bling will also have glamorous appearances by Tiger Shroff, Shilpa Shetty, Sunny Leone, Vivek Oberoi and more, bringing the who’s who of Bollywood into Dubai’s glittering social scene.

Satrangi (ZEE5, May 22)

The upcoming thriller-drama series, which stars Anshumaan Pushkar and Mahvash in lead roles, follows the story of Bablu Mahto (Anshumaan Pushkar), a young boy who comes from the family of ‘Launda Naach’ performers and has vowed revenge after his father is found hanging from a tree branch. Kumud plays an evil minister in the show while Mahvash plays Anshumaan’s love-interest. The show has been directed by Jai Basantu Singh.
