The launch event for upcoming Netflix reality series Lock Upp was held on Monday. Besides the contestants, Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan, who would be hosting the show, were present at the event as well. The proceedings however took an ugly turn when Riteish Deshmukh got angry at a reporter for a question and shut him down.

At the launch event, during the media interaction session, Riteish looked visibly angry when a reporter asked him, “Are you planning to bring Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, two of the closest people to you, to Lock Upp? And what punishment will you give them?” The Raja Shivaji actor responded in a stern tone, “First of all, I don’t think I want to dignify your question by responding to it.”

Surprisingly, the said reporter then insisted that it was a simple question, and requested Riteish to answer it. This time, Riteish replied in a no-nonsense demeanour, “I won’t bring them to the show, because my job is to host. I have no idea about the inmates who shall be invited to the show. As hosts, we talk to whichever guests arrive in Lock Upp.”

Besides Riteish and Farah, others present at the event included Pamela Sarena, Shivangi Joshi, and Ram Kapoor. Producer Ektaa Kapoor was in attendance as well. Lock Upp will begin streaming on Netflix  on June 27, with new episodes arriving Saturday to Wednesday.
