Rajpal Yadav, who recently made headlines after being arrested and later released on bail in a cheque-bounce case, has many films in the pipeline. The upcoming Akshay Kumar starrer Bhooth Bangla is one of them. Post his release from jail, the notable actor has received great support from many industry personalities. In one such gesture, Bhooth Bangla producer Ektaa R Kapoor extended financial support to Rajpal Yadav during a recent promotional event.
During a promotional visit on the sets of the reality game Wheel of Fortune, which is hosted by Akshay Kumar, Ektaa chose to offer the winning amount to Rajpal Yadav as a form of help. Ektaa and Rajpal were present on Wheel of Fortune sets alongwith Wamiqa Gabbi, who plays the female lead in Bhooth Bangla.
Ektaa is co-producing the film alongside Shobhaa Kapoor and Akshay Kumar under Cape of Good Films banner. Bhooth Bangla also marks the much-awaited reunion of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan, after 16 years.
Besides Akshay Kumar and Wamiqa, the horror-comedy also stars Tabu in a prominent role and actors like Jisshu Sengupta, Mithila Palkar, and Paresh Rawal in the supporting cast. The film is set for theatrical release on April 10, and will be the first major Hindi film release in three weeks, after Dhurandhar 2.
Priyadarshan and Rajpal Yadav have previously collaborated on many popular comedies like Hungama (2003), Khatta Meetha (2010), Bhool Bhulaiyya (2007) and more.
