Arun Pandian-Keerthi Pandian’s Akkenam premieres on OTT

Directed by debutant Udhay K, Akkenam marks the reunion of the father and daughter combo after their previous collaboration, Anbirkiniyal

Arun Pandian and Keerthi Pandian's latest thriller Akkenam is now streaming on OTT platform Aha, a month after its release in theatres. Directed by debutant Udhay K, the film marks the reunion of the father and daughter combo after their previous collaboration, Anbirkiniyal (2021).

Akkenam follows the lives of a cab driver, an ex-convict, and a criminal, whose paths intersect in a fateful moment that puts all of them in grave danger. The film, which was released on July 4, received mixed reviews from audiences and critics.

Uday K has previously made the short film Yakkai Thiri in 2022 with Dushara Vijayan in the lead which received critical acclaim. Apart from Arun Pandian and Keerthi Pandian, the film also stars Adithya Shivpink playing the role of the antagonist. Ramesh Thilak, GM Sundar, Adithya Menon and Seetha play supporting roles.

On the technical team, Akkenam has cinematography by Vignesh Govindarajan, music by Barath Veeraraghavan, lyrics by Chandy, editing by Devathyan and art direction by Raja. Arun Pandian also served as the producer for the film.
