Netflix’s The Beast in Me, a psychological thriller led by Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys, will arrive on November 13. The streamer has also unveiled the first-look images from the series.

Created by The X-Files alum Gabe Rotter, the story follows Aggie (Danes), a novelist paralysed by grief after the death of her young son. Her creative drought ends when Nile Jarvis (Rhys), a high-profile, ruthless real estate mogul once suspected in his wife’s disappearance, moves in next door. “At once horrified and fascinated by this man, Aggie finds herself compulsively hunting for the truth—chasing his demons while fleeing her own—in a game of cat and mouse that might turn deadly,” reads the official logline.

Brittany Snow and Natalie Morales co-star, with guest appearances from Jonathan Banks, David Lyons, Tim Guinee, Hettienne Park, Deidre O’Connell, Aleyse Shannon, Will Brill, Kate Burton, Bill Irwin, Amir Arison, and Julie Ann Emery.

Howard Gordon (Accused) serves as showrunner, reuniting with Danes after their Emmy-winning run on Showtime’s Homeland. Gordon executive produces alongside Rotter, Danes, director Antonio Campos, Daniel Pearle, Conan O’Brien, Jeff Ross, David Kissinger, Caroline Baron, and Jodie Foster. The series is produced by Disney’s 20th Television and was picked up by Netflix in 2024.
