On Wednesday, Netflix unveiled the teaser trailer for the second season of Jenna Ortega-starrer Wednesday, along with the premiere dates. The first part of the series is scheduled for August 6, while the second part will premiere on September 3.

The teaser trailer starts by showing Wednesday’s (Jenna Ortega) iconic dark humour with Thing following which the Addams family are surprised about Wednesday volunteering to return to her school. We then see her getting involved in murder, mayhem, and mystery, with creepy dolls seemingly the villains of this upcoming season.

Tim Burton is the director and executive producer of the Wednesday series, and he helms season 2 with Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson. Returning as series regulars are Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo as Ritchie Santiago. Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Hunter Doohan, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa, and Georgie Farmer will also be back, along with guest stars Fred Armisen and Jamie McShane.

The new season introduces Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor as series regulars. Additionally, Lady Gaga and Thandiwe Newton will appear as guest stars, alongside Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, and Joonas Suotamo.

The series, inspired by the Addams Family character Wednesday Addams, is the creation of Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. The first season, which premiered in November 2022, concluded with Wednesday solving a series of brutal murders while preventing the destruction of Nevermore Academy.
