Hrithik Roshan-Deepika Padukone's Fighter gets OTT release date

The cast also has Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi in supporting roles

CE Features

Nearly a month after its release in theatres, Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles is all set to be released on OTT soon. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film will drop on Netflix today, March 21, at midnight.

Deepika plays Squadron Leader Minal Rathore, Hrithik Roshan plays Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania. Anil Kapoor is Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh. The cast also has Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi in supporting roles. The film has references to 2019 Pulwama attack, 2019 Balakot airstrike and 2019 India–Pakistan border skirmishes.

The film, which was released a day ahead of India's Republic day on January 25, received mixed reviews from critics and audience and earned over Rs 300 crore worldwide. Our CE review of the film read, "It comes as no surprise that Fighter is a Hrithik Roshan (air) show. But unlike War (2019), it doesn’t pray at the altar of the Greek God. The film presents Hrithik with a character that is vulnerable and fallible. The actor plays the hero with a restrained conviction. The villains, on the other hand, are again a bunch of ‘janab’ uttering Pakistanis."

Fighter is backed by Ajit Andhare (Viacom18 Studios), Mamta Anand, Ramon Chibb, and Anku Pande.
