Technicians may be the unsung heroes of a film, but this is not the case for for team Bethlehem Kudumba Unit. Days after director Girish AD's film became the new industry hit, surpassing Lokah's global box office collection, the team behind it dropped a poster marking the milestone. Interestingly, the poster does not have Nivin Pauly or Mamitha Baiju in a departure from the traditional practice of featuring the lead actors of a film in a celebratory post. Instead, it features director Girish AD alongside producers Dileesh Pothan, Fahadh Faasil, and Syam Pushkaran, cinematographer Ajmal Sabu, writer Kiran Josey, and editor Akash Joseph Varghese. Among the film's core technical team, only music director Vishnu Vijay is missing in the poster.
In the caption for the poster, Nivin Pauly wrote, "300+ crores worldwide gross! Thank you for the endless love! The frame would have been truly complete with our music magician Vishnu Vijay in it. Sending you all the love!"
Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan, and Syam Pushkaran produced the film under the banner of Bhavana Studios. Fahadh actively took part in the promotional efforts for the film; at one point, he went to Tamil Nadu and apologised for the absence of both Nivin and Mamitha as the event there came hot on the heels of a similar function in Hyderabad.
Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has also become the fastest film in Malayalam to cross the 300-crore mark. The film's success added another feather to the cap of both Nivin and Mamitha, who have been having quite an eventful year so far. Nivin had his first-ever 100-crore grossing film with Sarvam Maya earlier this year, only to set the industry record with BKU a few months down the road.
On the other hand, Mamitha Baiju has been part of three back-to-back films grossing over 250 crore from theatres worldwide: Jana Nayagan, Vishwanathan and Sons, and now Bethlehem Kudumba Unit.
