Director Chidambaram, best known for helming the Malayalam films Manjummel Boys and Balan, is set to team up with Kantara star Rishab Shetty next. They are collaborating on two separate projects, the first a Kannada sports drama. Shibu Thameens is producing the film, pre-production works for which have already commenced. The makers are planning to start shooting early next year.
Shibu Thameens has produced several notable films under his banners, Thameens Films and HR Pictures. Some popular titles include ABCD: American-Born Confused Desi, Jack Daniels, and Mura in Malayalam, and Puli, Iru Mugan, and Veera Dheera Sooran in Tamil. Sources inform that further details regarding the producer's upcoming biggie with Chidambaram and Rishab will be out in the coming days.
Chidambaram, who debuted in 2021 with Jan.E.Man, made heads turn with the sensational success of Manjummel Boys. Although it was announced that he would be directing a Hindi film for Phantom Studios, there have been no further updates about it.
Rishab is expected to join Chidambaram's project once he wraps up his ongoing mythological epic Jai Hanuman, directed by Prasanth Varma.
