Tensions rise on the reality show Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 8 as the parents of a contestant ask her to leave the show. Neha Fathima’s parents, who appeared on stage to meet her, confronted her over her romantic feelings for fellow contestant Santhosh Raj, also known as Taashi. Neha was surprised and seemed happy to see her parents again after a long time. However, what began as a beautiful reunion suddenly turned sour when they asked her to leave the show.

The show witnessed a family drama when Fathima’s parents appeared on stage. Her father questioned her commitment to her family and asked her to remember her responsibilities towards them. Her mother also criticised her gameplay and claimed that other contestants were exploiting her feelings. She further alleged that Fathima had lost focus because of her emotional involvement, while everyone else was concentrating on the game.

They also expressed their dissatisfaction with her for openly expressing her love and disapproved of any romantic relationship developing between Fathima and Taashi. The emotional confrontation triggered an outburst from Fathima. She immediately expressed her grief and hurt over the way her parents were confronting her on a public platform without considering her feelings. This eventually led to an argument between them.

Mohanlal addressed the concerns raised by both sides and acknowledged the seriousness of her parents’ request. During the show, he also revealed that Fathima’s parents had repeatedly contacted the Bigg Boss team to request an opportunity to meet her. They were reportedly adamant about their desire to take her home immediately.

Although Fathima’s parents want her to quit the show, the makers have not yet confirmed whether she will choose to leave the competition or continue her journey. The friction reportedly began when Fathima confronted Raj for flirting with another female contestant, Vedangi. He later clarified that he had no romantic interest in Vedangi and that the situation was simply a misunderstanding.

Later in the show, Fathima confessed her love for Raj, aka Taashi, and told him that she hoped to pursue a relationship with him after the show concluded, provided both their parents approved of their relationship. Her confession subsequently became a hot topic of discussion on social media.
