Bhavana has shared an emotional note after watching Michael, the blockbuster biopic based on the life of Michael Jackson. The actor took to social media after seeing the film and reflected on her long-standing admiration for the King of Pop. Bhavana posted a carousel of photos and videos, including herself striking a signature Michael Jackson-style pose in front of his picture, moments from her visit to his resting place, and clips of the late icon’s stage performances.

In her post, she wrote, “Never had an opportunity to post these before!! Now that I just finished watching the movie Michael everything came rushing to my mind and thought of sharing!! I have been an MJ fan forever … not always a fan of pop music nor am I always updated but I used to dance to MJ songs a lot!!”

She went on to mention several of his songs that remained favourites over the years, including Thriller, Billie Jean, Remember the Time, Black or White and They Don't Care About Us, adding that they always had “a special folder” in her playlist.

Bhavana also said she was disappointed never to have seen Michael Jackson perform live. “I wasn’t lucky enough to witness his live performance!! When his untimely death shocked the world, I made a promise to myself that I would at least visit his grave,” she wrote. She then recalled visiting Jackson’s final resting place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on June 25, 2010, the first anniversary of his death, “with a huge bouquet and a heavy heart.”

Calling the King of Pop’s fame unmatched, she added, “He did it without the internet at that time and that’s what makes him truly extraordinary and iconic.” She said the film was enough to “rekindle the MJ fan” in her and made her deeply emotional. She ended the post by writing, “Michael Jackson — one name, ruling Earth even after death.”

Directed by Antoine Fuqua, Michael stars Jaafar Jackson in the lead role. Despite receiving generally negative reviews from critics, the film has been a major commercial success, grossing $424.8 million worldwide and emerging as the fifth highest-grossing film of 2026 so far.

Bhavana was last seen in the Malayalam film Anomie, co-starring Rahman in the lead.
