Earlier, we reported about Aadu 3 being set to release in theatres as a two-part film. Starring Jayasurya in the lead role, alongside a motley crew of eccentric characters, Aadu 3: One Last Ride - Part 1 is scheduled for a March 19 release. Meanwhile, its director Midhun Manuel Thomas spoke about the franchise in a recent interview.

Speaking to Club FM, the filmmaker said that the film is so long that they cannot tell the story with one part itself. "I knew while writing the film itself that it would not be complete with one part, because its world building would take time," he admitted. Midhun added that the first part itself is around 2 hours and 48 minutes long, hence he divided the screenplay and decided to tell the story up to a particular point in Aadu 3: One Last Ride - Part 1.

Interestingly, he suggested that the conclusion of the film would depend on whether the audience accepts the first part. "The epic conclusion of Aadu would happen if the audience gives this part a green signal. Vijay Babu (producer) and I agreed to do the film on those terms," he added.

The filmmaker has followed his screenplay for Aadu 3: One Last Ride - Part 1, exactly as planned, without making any changes to it on the set. "I am going to end the Aadu franchise with the second part to this film," he revealed. "Let anyone else revamp it. That can also be done, because the characters are already established. If an opportunity arises, someone can make a spin-off if they are fond of a particular character. Ultimately, it is up to Friday to make the decision," he said, referring to producer Vijay Babu's banner Friday film House.

Recently, Jayasurya recently said that there would be a fourth part in the Aadu franchise. It appears that the said film refers to the second chapter in Aadu 3: One Last Ride - Part 1.
