Megham Karukatha' is one of the most popular songs in Tamil cinema. Featuring Dhanush onscreen, with Nithya Menen and Rashii Khanna, and as one of the singers, the song from Thiruchitrambalam won appreciation for its catchy tune and seamless choreography. It won a National Award for Best Choreography for Jani Master and Sathish Krishnan, although the former withdrew the recognition in light of the sexual harassment allegations against him.

The song is one of the centrepiece attractions in a dance performance featuring Mohanlal and Sania Iyappan. The actors participated in a dance performance with the Thiruchitrambalam song at an event in Germany. Their synchronised dance moves have been leaving an indelible impression on netizens ever since Sania dropped a glimpse of it on social media. Sania and Mohanlal can be seen shaking their legs to the catchy music with much energy and enthusiasm in the video that she has posted on her Instagram handle.

She captioned the post, “Lalettan's charm meets Germany's vibes. Living the real life with the legend himself, Mohanlal!” For the uninitiated, Mohanlal visited the football-crazy nation for an international stage show known as The Complete Actor Mohanlal Live in Germany: Beyond the Screen. Designed as a massive star-studded night celebrating Indian cinema and culture for the European diaspora, the show featured the legendary actor alongside a massive lineup of artists. The cultural event took place on June 26 at the Rudolf Weber Arena in Oberhausen.

Coming back to Sania Iyappan, the actor also shared a photograph featuring herself with Mohanlal. She captioned the post, “Pookie Lalettan.” Their dance performance and the photograph have grabbed the attention of fans and followers, including those from the film industry, such as filmmaker Ahammed Khabeer. It serves as another testament to Mohanlal’s enduring popularity on and off screen. Even when he attends a stage event, he grabs much attention and what he does often goes viral, as evident from his recent rendition of the ‘Endendu Ninnanu Marethu Badukiralare' song from Eradu Kanasu in tribute to Dr Rajkumar
