On the occasion of Dulquer Salmaan completing 14 years in the film industry on Tuesday, the makers of I’m Game confirmed that the upcoming biggie will hit theatres during Onam 2026. Although an exact release date has not been announced, the update was accompanied by the unveiling of a new poster. It features Dulquer in a rugged, bruised avatar, holding a gun close to his face with a blood-soaked hand, hinting at an action-heavy gangster narrative.

Directed by Nahas Hidhayath, who made an impressive debut with the 2023 actioner RDX, I’m Game marks Dulquer’s return to Malayalam cinema after King of Kotha in 2023. Since then, the actor has largely focused on projects in other languages, with the Tamil period film Kaantha being his last release, alongside two upcoming Telugu films: Aakasamlo Oka Tara and the tentatively titled DQ 41.

I'm Game’s story is by Nahas, with the screenplay co-written by Bilal Moidu, Ismail Aboobacker and Sajeer Baba. Dialogues are penned by Shahabas Rasheed and Aadarsh Sukumaran. The technical crew includes cinematographer Jimshi Khalid, music director Jakes Bejoy, editor Chaman Chakko, production designer Ajayan Chalissery and action choreographers Anbariv. The ensemble cast features Antony Varghese Pepe in a pivotal role, while Tamil filmmaker Mysskin makes his Malayalam acting debut. Tamil actor Kathir, Kayadu Lohar and Samyuktha Viswanathan also play key roles.

Produced by Dulquer Salmaan and Jom Varghese under the banner of Wayfarer Films, I’m Game is set for release in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada.

The other high-profile releases joining I’m Game in the Onam 2026 race are Premalu director Girish AD's Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, starring Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju, Vysakh's Khalifa, headlined by Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Jude Anthany Joseph's Thudakkam, which marks the acting debut of Vismaya Mohanlal.
