Composer Jakes Bejoy has been signed on to score the music for Mohanlal’s upcoming film, tentatively titled L 365. The project marks the directorial debut of actor Austin Dan Thomas and is scripted by Ratheesh Ravi.

With this, Jakes reunites with Mohanlal after Thudarum, the blockbuster released earlier this year. The composer is currently at the peak of a prolific run, having delivered consecutive successes with Officer on Duty, Thudarum, Narivetta and the recently released Lokah: Chapter 1: Chandra. His streak has positioned him as one of the most sought-after music directors in Malayalam cinema today.

L 365 will see Mohanlal in the role of a police officer. Produced by Ashiq Usman under his namesake banner, the film’s extended cast, crew and further details remain under wraps. Mohanlal was recently conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, India’s highest honour in cinema. The veteran actor is set to begin filming Drishyam 3, the much-anticipated third instalment in Jeethu Joseph’s acclaimed franchise, on September 22, before travelling to New Delhi to receive the award at the 71st National Film Awards on September 23.

Jakes’ upcoming slate also includes Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Vilayath Buddha, Navya Nair-Soubin Shahir's Paathi Rathri, Dulquer Salmaan’s I’m Game and Naslen's Mollywood Times.
