Joju George joins the sets of Varavu

Varavu marks Joju George's maiden collaboration with Shaji Kailas

Joju George has started shooting for Varavu, his upcoming film with Shaji Kailas. The actor joined the sets in Marayoor, where the team had been shooting for the last few days. Varavu, which marks Joju and Shaji Kailas' maiden collaboration, is billed as an action thriller set against the backdrop of the high ranges. It is scripted by AK Sajan, who has previously collaborated with the director on Chinthamani Kolacase, Red Chillies, and Dhrona 2010.

Varavu is centered on Polachan (Joju), a rich planter, who, at a crucial point in his life, is compelled to return to his roots, which involves settling long-held scores of vengeance. The film also stars Murali Gopy, Arjun Ashokan, yesteryear actor Sukanya, Baburaj, Vincy Aloshious, Saniya Iyappan, Ashwin Kumar, Abhimanyu Thilakan, Biju Pappan, Bobby Kurian, Azees Nedumangad, Sreejith Ravi, Deepak Parambol, Kottayam Ramesh, Balaji Sharma, Chali Pala, and Radhika Radhakrishnan, among others.

Varavu has cinematography by S Saravanan, editing by Shameer Muhammed, and art direction by Sabu Ram. The action sequences are choreographed by Kalai Kingson, Phoenix Prabhu, Stunt Silva, and Kanal Kannan.  Naisy Reji is producing the film under the banner of Olga Productions, with Jomy Joseph as co-producer.

Joju next has Jeethu Joseph’s Valathu Vashathe Kallan, an emotional thriller co-starring Biju Menon, lined up. He is also part of Aasha, alongside Urvashi, which he is co-writing. He is also gearing up to direct Deluxe, a spiritual sequel to his directorial debut, Pani.
