Shibin S Raghav, who gained attention for playing the enigmatic 'Nobody’ in Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, has now joined the cast of Antony Varghese Pepe’s upcoming action film Kattalan. Directed by debutant Paul George, the film revolves around ivory smuggling and is positioned as a mass entertainer for a pan-Indian audience. Acclaimed novelist and screenwriter Unni R, best known for scripting Big B, is penning the dialogues.

Shibin became a talking point recently despite his fleeting, silent appearance in the Kalyani Priyadarshan-starrer. His character ‘Nobody’, seen slouching on a couch in Sunny’s (Naslen) Bengaluru flat, was spotlighted after Kalki 2898 AD director Nag Ashwin publicly asked filmmaker Dominic Arun if the character would ever get a spin-off. The curiosity around ‘Nobody’ helped Shibin’s presence in Lokah become widely celebrated by audiences and critics alike.

Kattalan also stars Rajisha Vijayan, Marco-fame Kabir Singh Duhan, veteran Jagadish, Telugu actors Sunil and Raj Tirandasu, rapper Baby Jean, and singer Hanan Shaah, who makes his acting debut after his viral single 'Chirapunji'. The action-heavy project is backed by Shareef Muhammed under the Cubes Entertainments banner, best known for producing Marco.

Kattalan has cinematography by Renadive, editing by Shameer Muhammed, and music by Kantara composer B Ajaneesh Loknath. Action sequences are being choreographed by Kecha Khamphakdee, whose credits include Ong-Bak 2, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Jawan.
