Another single from Mammootty-starrer Kalamkaval's soundtrack, titled 'Redback', has been released by the makers. Kalamkaval's director Jithin K Jose has composed music and has written the lyrics for 'Redback'.

Rapper and singer Adyan Sayeed has essayed the song which features an animated lyric video that provides several hints at the film. The title of the song is based on a type of spider, which is also called an Australian Black Widow spider. The venomous spider can be a hint to Mammootty's character, which has only been described as venoumous. The lyric video also attributes Vinayakan's police character as a hawk.

Rajisha Vijayan has also been announced to be part of the film. While Jithin has composed music for 'Redback', Mujeeb Majeed is composing music for the film.

Jithin has written Kalamkaval along with Jishnu Sreekumar. George Sebastian is serving as the executive producer on the film. The crew of the film includes Faisal Ali as the director of photography, Praveen Prabhakar as the editor, Shajie Naduvil as the production designer, and Action Santhosh as the stunt choreographer.
